OSAGE | The Osage Community Daycare board will host a “Building the Foundation for Growth,” event at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6. The daycare is located at 915 Pine St., Osage.

This event is both an open house and fundraising kick-off event for the new facility project at the Osage Community Daycare.

The Osage Community Daycare was not awarded a CDBG Grant from the State of Iowa, earlier this year. However, the project to build a new facility is moving forward.

Because of the high demand for childcare, the Osage Community Daycare Board and the City of Osage have decided to move forward with building a new facility. This new building will allow the daycare to expand the number of families and children served in the Osage and surrounding areas. There is an immediate need and the current building license restricts the daycare’s ability to care for more children.

This is a community-wide effort and board members are inviting community members to attend the vent, especially those who have not had a chance to visit the daycare previously. Plan to attend and learn about the plans and project overview for the new facility and tour the current space.

In addition, individuals, who have already pledged financial assistance, will be recognized. There will be a time of sharing the opportunity additional funding will have toward this new facility and the economic impact on the entire county.
