OSAGE | On Wednesday, Sept. 27, over 150 students from Riceville, St. Ansgar and Osage had the opportunity to visit with nearly 45 recruiters from colleges and the military about their future opportunities at the Iowa Association for College Admission Counseling Fair.
Students learned about programs, scholarships, and how to set up visits to these schools.
Many students noted the value of the college fair citing learning information they could really use and that they weren't aware of.
Students also said they liked meeting representatives from colleges they never knew existed expanding their horizons to what opportunities are out there.
The Fair is hosted annually in Osage giving students a the chance to continue preparing for what might come after high school.
"No one ever knows what the future will hold," said Michelle Dohlman, Osage High School Counselor/Educator. "Students need to learn as much as they can so they have every opportunity possible; knowledge is power."
