Having lived in Mason City until I was 19 and again from 2005-16, I grew accustomed to Iowa news. However, now living in a suburb of Washington, D.C. and taking the Washington Post, I get a daily perspective of our national politics, which I am afraid, is in disarray.
The daily examples of a Congress that can do nothing but argue and a president who is totally out of his arena, it is discouraging to see the country in such turmoil. I am certainly with the majority that really does not want a tax cut but just see a government that functions for the people.
From a Washington perspective, do not hold our breath for that to happen any time soon. As POTUS says, sad, sad.
