Mason City voters had better stop and think about someone's pipe dream of the Renaissance.
Cost factor: over $37 million. Contractors will bid on jobs for building, probably at least 75 percent will be workers from out of state. This was the story of building the downtown mall. When they are done, they leave town. Local labors had very few local people working. The mall was a flop, in my opinion.
Music Man Square was a tribute to Meredith Willson! Now they want to tear it apart. I think anyone who had a part in helping them they needed help would be very upset.
It is a fact: no tourist wants to be downtown. Where would they park?
We need to revamp the present hockey rink. There is plenty of parking and room for expansion.
We should think very hard on Nov. 7 and vote no.
