Just 20 miles west of Ames and 40 miles north of Des Moines along the Des Moines River is Ledges State Park, one of Iowa’s hidden treasures.
Several professors and graduate students from Iowa State University joined to create an exhibit inspired by their encounters with the huge limestone bluffs, hiking trails and gentle streams there.
The exhibit includes 2 and 3-D works including three ceramic containers exploring the hydrology of Ledges by Ingrid Lilligren.
