The MacNider Art Museum will hold its annual holiday festivities Dec. 8-9, with entertainment for adults and children. All events are free.

A holiday MacNider: Off the Clock! starts at 5 p.m. Friday. Area jazz pianist Sam Crosser will perform traditional jazz and holiday favorites. The night out will include wine and festive hors d’oeuvres.

The family event, Holiday Open House, will be 1-4 p.m. Saturday. Young artists will be able to participate in make-and-take activities throughout the museum, and children can meet Santa Claus from 1-4 p.m. Calligraphy artist Kathie Vix will offer her services for the young. Children may write letters to Santa for special delivery in his mailbox. Holiday cookies and punch will be available.
