Defense was the name of the game Friday night for the Forest City boys basketball team as the Indians rode a strong effort on that side of the ball to a 70-43 victory over West Hancock.

Forest City built up a 40-25 lead at halftime, and then held the Eagles, who are traditionally a strong offensive team, to 15-second half points.

Offensively, Sam Snyder led the charge with a game-high 26 points on 8-of-10 shooting, plus he grabbed four rebounds. Avery Busta was the only other Indian to score in double figures as he netted 14, grabbed seven rebounds, had five assists and four steals.

Ryan Theel and Noah miller scored seven points apiece, Micah Lambert had six, Grady Hovenga scored five, and Chris Jermeland added four points and seven rebounds.
