FOREST CITY | Last year wasn’t the easiest year inside the Forest City wrestling room.
The Indians struggled at times across the lineup and finished with a 1-19 dual record. But this year, the Indians expect to take a slight step up with a little more experience in the room. It will take time, though.
“We will once again be a pretty inexperienced and young team,” Forest City coach Steve Staudt said. “We should be pretty close to filling all weight classes and we will be more competitive this year.”
The Indians return a host of letterwinners which gives them a good place to start.
Back from last year are Tim Buck, Evan Larson, Will Kirschbaum, Dakota Rossiter, Gabe Staudt, Jacob Trunkhill, Brett Walton, Kristian Gunderson and Austin Kelso.
Staudt also mentioned Max Soto and Brendon Guillermo as two others who will contribute in some aspect this season.
Piecing together a lineup will be a challenge again, but it’s one the Indians welcome with open arms.
