FOREST CITY — In a battle of ranked teams on Tuesday, Nov. 21, it was No. 11 Forest City walking away with a win over No. 14 Algona, 53-42.
Brea Dillavou paced the Indians with 25 points and 12 rebounds, Hannah Anderson scored 12 and Noelle Jones added 11.
"We really focused in the second half on rebounding, and the second half much better than first," Forest City coach Dusty Meyn said. "We're a 3-point shooting team that shot 4 of 21 so I challenged the team that needed to step up and rebound."
The Indians’ Kelsey Koch added four points, five rebounds, four steals and two assists, and Callie McQuown also contributed to that strong rebounding effort with six boards of her own.
Algona was led by Abbey Holmes with 13 and Nicole Smidt with eight.
