Forest City defenders stand their ground against Hampton.

The Forest City girls basketball team closed out its conference slate this past week with a pair of key wins to help it finish 13-3 in TIC West action.

The Indians beat Lake Mills 59-44 on Friday, escaped Garrigan with a 51-48 win on Tuesday, Jan. 30, and added a 68-40 nonconference win over Hampton-Dumont on Monday, Jan. 29.

In the win over Lake Mills, Hannah Anderson led the way with a game-high 21 points, and Kelsey Koch added a solid all-around game with 16 points, seven rebounds and four steals. Brea Dillavou added nine points and six rebounds, and Erin Caylor scored four.

Anderson was on her game again in the key win over Garrigan as she paced Forest City with 20 points. Dillavou chipped in eight points and nine rebounds, Kelsey Koch scored eight and added four steals, and Becca Seglem scored six.

Forest City had three players score in double figures in the win over Hampton-Dumont. Dillavou paced the Indians with a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds, Anderson scored 15, and Kelsey Koch scored 12 points, handed out six assists and collected four steals.
