It took the Forest City girls basketball team five games into the season, but the Indians were unable to hold off North Union Tuesday, Dec. 5 as the Warriors handed the Indians a 63-49 defeat. Forest City then bounced back last Friday with a 72-12 win over North Iowa.
In the loss vs. North Union, Hannah Anderson paced the Indians with 17 points, eight rebounds, two assists and two steals. Brea Dillavou added 16 points, seven rebounds and two steals.
Also for the Indians, Kelsey Koch scored eight points, had four rebounds and three assists, Erin Caylor and Noelle Jones scored three apiece, and Becca Seglem finished with two. Callie McQuown added four rebounds.
In Friday’s win over North Iowa, the Indians had just about everything working as 10 different players scored.
Anderson led four players in double figures with 12 points while Dillavou, McQuown and Seglem scored 10 apiece. Jones added nine points, Caylor and Kalista Larson had seven apiece, Natalie Moore scored three and Koch and Kalin Knudtson each had two.
