As we enter into the Thanksgiving Season, I think of the verses from Psalm 107: 8-9 “Let them give thanks to the LORD for His loving kindness, And for His wonders to the sons of men! For He has satisfied the thirsty soul, and the hungry soul He has filled with what is good.”

Yes we should at all times give thanks unto the Lord our God for His loving kindness that He daily pours out unto us His children.

He blesses us each and every day if we would just take time from our daily activities to open our spiritual eyes to see how wonderful He has provided for each of our needs.

He promises to us His love, mercy grace and strength that will sustain us through anything we may encounter if we only allow Him to do so.

He will never turn away a thirsty and hungry soul seeking to be nourished from the streams of living water and bread from heaven. Oh that we would all go to the fountain of life and drink from it daily and eat from the richness of the table He spreads before us.

We hear from the medical field how important it is not to get dehydrated. It is even more important to be vigilant in keeping our spiritual lives hydrated from the living water that can only come from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We also need to nourish our souls with the bread from Heaven. The fountain of living water and the bread from Heaven are found in His word. We are nourished from it by applying it to our lives as we allow the Holy Spirit to teach us and guide us in His ways.

I would challenge you to take time to sit down and have some quite time with the Lord. Allow Him to fill your cup and feed your hungry soul before you sit and feed your physical bodies.

Be sure to take care of your spiritual body. Not just during this Thanksgiving Season but each and every day.

One week without food and your physical body would become undernourished and weak. How strong and healthy are you keeping your spiritual body?

He is waiting for fill your cup with living water and feed your hungry soul. Come and be healthy spiritually.
