FOREST CITY - Waldorf College's homecoming, "The Faces of Waldorf" hopes to include faces from the community as well as the college.
Homecoming weekend is Friday through Sunday, Sept. 23-25.
"We just really hope they (community members) take advantage of all the things going on at homecoming," said Director of Alumni Relations Rita Gilbertson.
"Waldorf is important to the community," Gilbertson said. "And we wouldn't be here without Forest City."
The community is invited to several events including an art and craft fair on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. in Salveson Lobby.
New this year is the combined Sunday worship service and homecoming concert at 10:30 a.m. in the Atrium.
The student-led activity team is also embracing the community during homecoming weekend.
"It's important for us to have a relationship with the community," said Christina Watkinson, president of the Social Warrior Activities Team (SWAT). SWAT organizes entertainment events for the student body.
"We encourage the community to get involved as much as possible," Watkinson said. SWAT organizes the parade and coronation for homecoming. The homecoming parade is at 10 a.m. Saturday.
"We want them to feel welcome here," Gilbertson said. "It's our gift to the community."
