FOREST CITY | Soggy weather in Forest City Saturday postponed the 13th annual Walking Eagle Pumpkin Patch, but area kids still got to pick out their pumpkins on Sunday while helping raise money for a good cause.

The event featured hundreds of pumpkins of all sizes and colors, concessions, a bake sale, free family activities and more with proceeds going to the “Walking Eagles” Relay for Life team to fight against cancer.

Since it began in 2005, the pumpkin patch has raised $40,000 for Relay for Life, a cancer fundraising event. It’s a project of the employees of FCIS Insurance, a Forest City-based personal and vehicle insurance company.l
