FOREST CITY | The Winnebago Historical Society recently received two grants totaling $850 to build a concrete pad for dumpsters at Heritage Park of North Iowa.
The Winnebago Cooperative Telecom Association gave the society $250 toward the project. Aureon contributed $600.
Jim Oulman, secretary for Heritage Park, said the park recently picked up several more used dumpsters but needed money to build a concrete pad to put under them.
The city requires concrete pads for dumpsters so sanitation workers can move them.
