FOREST CITY | A Forest City man faces a felony charge of intimidation with a dangerous weapon after allegedly using an air rifle to shoot out the window of a school bus occupied by children.

Martin Sherman Tindall, 32, also has been charged with misdemeanor third-degree criminal mischief.

The school bus was traveling south on Clark Street on a route to pick up students and take them to school Friday morning when a pellet went through a window and landed in a female's hair, according to a criminal complaint from the Forest City Police Department.

No one was injured.

Tindall allegedly admitted to law enforcement that he was shooting the weapon toward the school bus.

He was arrested following a short investigation, according to police. He was taken to the Winnebago County Jail and was later released after posting bond.

Tindall has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Jan. 25.
