FOREST CITY | MBT Bank (MBT) announced the promotion of Merri-Beth Hollinger to the position of Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer. In addition to the promotion, Hollinger has also been appointed to the bank’s Board of Directors at its annual meeting in January. She has been with MBT for 30 years and most recently served as Vice President, Operations and is the bank’s Trust Officer.

Hollinger graduated from Lincoln Southeast High School in Lincoln, Nebraska and then attended the University of Nebraska. She began her career in banking as a teller at First National Bank in Salida, Colorado. Merri-Beth joined MBT Bank in 1985 for a few years as an Administrative Secretary, and then relocated with her husband – living in Colorado, Montana, and Utah. In 1991, she found her way back to northern Iowa and rejoined the MBT team.

It’s an honor to be a part of such an incredible team and I look forward to working more with the Board of Directors.” Merri-Beth is also a member of the Winnebago/Hancock County Ducks Unlimited committee. She and her husband Jim, reside in Forest City with their two dogs Dexter and Oscar.
