MASON CITY — The Blue Horizon Players’ original Cup O’ Joe show opens June 9 in Mason City before taking the production on the road.
The show, billed as “bad theater at its best,” will be in Mason City, Kensett, Clear Lake and Ventura on back-to-back weekends.
The comedies are written by Jacky Garlock and directed by Laura Wilson.
The cast includes Gene Beeman, Gloria Beeman, Dave Coulter, Tom Dakin, Gary Ewing, Jacky Garlock, Karen Green, Terri Masteller, Mark Mowrey, Wendy Niccum, Stacey Nichols, Stef Penfield, Kelly Steenhard, and Jodie Stockberger.
Musicians are Larry Gustafson, Kristy Neidlinger, Coulter, Dakin, Garlock, Masteller and Penfield.Performances are at 7 p.m. June 9-10 on the Plaza at 14 S. Federal Ave. in Mason City; June 11 at the Kensett Community Center; June 15 at P.M. Park in Clear Lake; and June 16-17 at the Ventura Community Center.
There will be a preview open house — “Grab A Cup To Go” — at 5:30 p.m. June 9 at Art On The Plaza gallery, featuring coffee from Jitters Coffee Bar and hors d’oeuvres.
