MASON CITY | The Humane Society of North Iowa will host its 16th annual Fall Festival Fundraiser from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, at the National Guard Armory, 1160 19th St. S.W., in Mason City.

The event, open to the public, will feature a silent auction, bounce house for kids, horse rides, games, bake sale, concession stand and other activities.

Adoptable animals from the shelter will be on hand.

Admission and most activities are free. A small fee is charged for some children’s activities.

“The Fall Festival is an important annual event for our organization,” said Humane Society Executive Director Sybil Soukup. “Proceeds from this fundraiser will allow us to provide quality care to the animals that rely on us in our shelter as well provide services to communities in North Iowa.”

People are asked to leave family pets at home.
