FOREST CITY — “Holiday Tour of Lights” opening night will be from 6-9 p.m. Nov. 25 at Heritage Park of North Iowa.
This is a first time for the Forest City venue.
Through sponsor donations, brightly-lit holiday displays have been constructed throughout the park.
People will be able to drive through the park during the holiday season beginning Nov. 25. It will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 18. From Dec.19-24, it will be open 6-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
This event includes an Enchanted Forest of decorated Christmas trees to walk through and a warming house serving cocoa and goodies.
On Dec. 18, there will be a candlelight church service at 6 p.m. in Beaver Creek Church located on the park’s grounds followed by a soup supper at 7.
Admission is a freewill donation. Donations will be distributed among non-profit youth organizations and Heritage Park.
Organizers anticipate that visitors from a 50-mile radius will drive to Forest City over the holiday season to view the displays.
The non-profit Heritage Park of North Iowa is a 91-acre site on the south edge of Forest City, dedicated to the preservation of America’s rural heritage.
