HAMPTON — The Franklin Chorale, under the direction of Jesse Bunge, will present “Christmas with the Chorale” at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at the First Congregational Church, 22 First Ave. S.E., Hampton.

The concert features guest artist Ann Fienup on harp.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students/children and may be purchased at Center 1, 5 First St. S.W., Hampton, from a Chorale member and at the door.

The program opens with “Dixit Maria” (Gabriel Came to Mary) by Hans Leo Hassler, followed by Vittoria’s motet “O magnum mysterium.”

“And The Glory Of The Lord,” the chorus from “Messiah,” is next, followed by “Brich an, o schönes Morgenlicht” (Break forth, oh beautiful morning light), from Bach’s Christmas Oratorio.

Fienup, University of Minnesota School of Music harpist and music education major, will play music from the harp repertoire. She performed works by Hindemith, Bach, Andres, Pierné and Ravel for her senior recital in October.

Dale Warland arrangements of “It Came Upon the Midnight Clear,” “We Three Kings of Orient Are” (with harp) and “Jesus Christ the Apple Tree” will be sung, followed by John Rutter’s “The Wild Wood Carol.”

David Danner’s anthem “Arise, Your Light Has come” and the Swedish carol “Wonderful Peace” by Gustaf Nordquist close the concert.
