Friday, Nov. 30

• Opportunity Village Festival of Trees Opening Night Gala — 5 to 8 p.m. Beautifully decorated trees and swags for display and sale. Appetizers, desserts, and coffees. $20 admission.

Saturday, Dec. 1

• Opportunity Village Festival of Trees — 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. General Tree Display $2 admission.

• Breakfast with Santa —8a.m. to 11 a.m. $7 adults, $4 ages 5 and under.

• Santa’s Workshop Children’s Activities & Secret Shop for Little Folks — 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• Prices for Secret Shop range from $3 to $8. Santa Pictures $3.

• United Methodist Church — Cookie Walk 8:30 a.m. Coffee and cinnamon rolls, Soup & Sandwich Lunch with Pie 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• Holiday Bazaar Craft Show — Crafts and more for sale at the Community Room at City Hall 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• Engage! Winter Outerwear Drive Distribution — The Clear Lake community is sharing the love of the season through the gift of warmth. Winter outerwear for all ages will be available free of charge for our neighbors in need from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 207A S. Fourth St.

• Storytime & Craft for Children — Free activity for ages 3 to 6 at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at the Clear Lake Public Library.

• Crowning of Prince & Princess — Clear Lake Bank & Trust, Entries are limited to 15 children, 3 to 5 years of age from Clear Lake or Ventura. The prince and princess will be randomly drawn from the contestants, and will each win a $50 US Savings Bond provided by the Christmas by the Lake Committee. Drawing will be held at 11 a.m. in the Community Room at Clear Lake Bank & Trust.

• Children’s Petting Zoo & Pony Rides — City Park from noon to 4 p.m. Free activity is sponsored by Clear Lake VFW Post 4868.

• Harpist Susan Sinnett —Clear Lake Arts Center, noon to 3 p.m.

• Main Street Trolley Rides — Boarding at the southeast corner of City Park 1 to 4 p.m. Free activity sponsored by Kingland Systems.

• Santa’s Workshop Festival — Indoor activities for youngsters including a magician, puppeteer, face painting, juggling, and sing-alongs, 1 to 3 p.m. at the Clear Lake Arts Center.

• Visit with Santa — Get your photo taken with Santa at the Santa house in City Park from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 7 p.m.

• Chili Cook Off —Judging by public tasting 1 p.m. until gone at the Lakeview Room at City Park Bandshell.

• S’mores for Kids — Enjoy free s’mores on the 400 block of Main Avenue 1 p.m. until gone.

• Matinee at the Lake Theatre — Free family movie at 1:30 p.m. Non-perishable food bank donations are accepted.

• Horse Drawn Carriage Rides — Boarding at two locations from 2 to 4:30 p.m., Wilcox Furniture and Ge-Jos By the Lake. Free activity is sponsored by Dean Snyder Construction & Farmer’s State Bank.

• Strolling Dickens Characters — Charles Dicken’s characters mingle with the crowd and sing traditional Christmas Carols. You may even see Ebenezer Scrooge catch the holiday spirit. 2 to 5 p.m. Sponsored by the Globe Gazette.

• Christmas Karaoke —Sing your favorite holiday tunes from 2 to 4 p.m. on the 400 block of Main Avenue.

• Lighted Christmas Parade — Dazzling lighted floats travel down Main Avenue at 5 p.m.

• Spectacular Fireworks Finale — After the parade at the Seawall.

• The Diamonds “Silver Bells & Diamonds” Christmas Show — Surf Ballroom, doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door.

Sunday, Dec. 2

• Opportunity Village Festival of Trees — General Tree Display 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. $2 admission

• Polar Bear Club —Take a dip in the icy lake for charity at City Beach at 12:30 p.m.

• Visit with Santa —Get your photo taken with Santa at the Santa House in City Park from 1 to 4 p.m.

• Treasure Hunt — Search for coins and redeem them for toys. Ages 12 and under, 1 p.m. at the Lakeview Room at the Bandshell. Free activity sponsored by The Other Place, Clear Lake.

• Matinee at the Lake Theatre — Free family matinee. Donations to the Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank will be accepted.
