MASON CITY — The Charles H. MacNider Art Museum’s fall fundraiser, Artoberfest, returns Friday, Oct. 7.

The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $40, available at Moorman Clothiers, Hy-Vee East, Hy-Vee West and MacNider Art Museum. This is a 21-and-older event.

The fundraiser will feature a variety of tasty brews from all over the Midwest and an assortment of delicious food. Guests will receive two drink tickets, and additional beverages may be purchased at the event.

More than 80 silent auction items have been donated from local businesses and artists. At 8 p.m., Col. Frank Fox will conduct the live auction which includes dinners, artwork and one-of-a- kind experiences.

Entertainment will be by The Mockingbirds. A trio of bass, drums and guitar features tight vocal harmonies by Rich Mock, Tina Mock and Nate Benzing on drums. The band plays rock ‘n’ roll, rockabilly, honkey tonk and rhythm and blues music from the 1950s-90s.

The museum will be closed Oct. 7-8 for preparation and cleanup.
