ABATE expo this weekend

MASON CITY — ABATE of Iowa, District 07, will present its 26th annual North Iowa Motorcycle Expo March 31 and April 1 at the North Iowa Fairgrounds in Mason City.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $4 SMRO, $5 general public. Ages 12 and under are free with a paid adult.

More than 30 vendors will be located in the All Seasons Building, with leather repair and sales, new and used motorcycle parts, knives, jewelry, boots, saddlebags, clothing from T-shirts to sweaters, leather caps to chaps, coats to vests, and more.

A state licensed and inspected tattoo artist will be on hand for new tattoos or to touch up current ones. A tattoo and beard contest will be Saturday with sign-up from noon to 1 p.m.

The bike show in the Olson building will have 23 classes, including a Special Interest class just for kids. All entries include a free two-day pass and participation award. A photographer will be available to take photos of people with their bikes. The trophy presentation will be 2 p.m. Sunday in the Olson building.

Food and beverages will be available in both smoke-free buildings during this family event.
