The Clear Lake Arts Center hosts Rave On XlV Exhibit  and free movies for the Winter Dance Party.

The exhibit in the Stanton Gallery includes art works by regional artists, depicting scenes and artifacts inspired by rock ‘n’ roll legends of the 1950s.

Free movies will be shown in the Sukup Performing Arts Wing.

"The Real Buddy Holly Rockumentary," Paul McCartney's video biography of Holly, will begin showing Wednesday, Jan. 31. Showtimes are 3 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, Jan. 31, Feb. 1-3. Seating is limited; people are encouraged to come early.

"La Bamba" will be shown at 1:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1. It is the true story of the life and career of Ritchie Valens, starring Lou Diamond Phillips.

The Clear Lake Arts Center is located at 17 S. Fourth St., downtown Clear Lake. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday.
