A “For Seniors Only” program will be held at the Lime Creek Nature Center on Wednesday, September 13 from 10 a.m. – Noon.

Guest speaker Ty Smedes spent almost a month in 2014 exploring the southern reaches of the globe on the Expedition ship Ortelius. His journey included stops at the Falkland Islands, South Georgia Island, and the Antarctic Peninsula.

This educational and visually stunning presentation will include various species of seals, penquins, and other unique wildlife that reside in this incredibly scenic and wildlife-rich area of the world.

Smedes’ photos have been published in many major magazines and books, and his third book, “Iowa’s Wild Beauty,” is nearing publication.

A catered lunch and social time will follow this program. Cost is $5.00 for nature center members and $7.00 for non-members.  Please call 423-5309 by 4 p.m. September 11 to register.
