ALGONA | West Hancock (3-18) lost on the road to Bishop Garrigan (17-10) in three straight sets, 25-16, 25-14, 25-14.

West Hancock played a defensive game, racking up 36 team digs. Senior Brigid Smith led the team with nine digs. Senior Kaitlyn Ohrt had five digs, while senior libero Sydney Zamago tied senior Ryann Hagen for four digs. Junior Gabrielle Bell, sophomore Marissa Eekhoff and senior Sydney Hudspeth each had two digs each.

Sophomore Emily Ryerson led the front line with the only kill of the match and five solo blocks. Senior Sydney Burgardt had four solo blocks.

The Eagles played North Iowa Buffalo Center on Saturday, but results were not available at press time. They play GHV on the road for their final regular season match on Saturday, October 14.
