Hunter Hagen now stands atop the West Hancock record book.

The senior broke the school’s (which includes Britt and West Hancock) all-time wins Saturday in a dual tournament at St. Edmond. Hagen was tied for the record with Michael Tlach at 139 coming into the tournament, and a 5-0 day propelled him to the top with 144.

As a team, West Hancock ended the tournament with a 3-2 record. The Eagles beat Clarke (Osceola) 36-35, topped St. Edmond 63-12 and defeated AGWSR 48-9. Their losses came to Roland-Story (36-30) and Southeast Valley (45-33).

After Hagen’s strong performance, Josh Stromer added a 4-0 day while Chandler Redenius and Cole Kelly were each 4-1.

West Hancock came out of break Thursday in a triangular at Forest City. The Eagles finished that night 1-1 with a win over Riceville (39-22) and a loss vs. Forest City (38-34).

Dalton Subject, Justin Ausborn, Hagen, Austin Brouwer and Redenius were each 2-0 on the night for the Eagles.
