West Hancock is still searching for its first win of the season after it was handed five more losses in the past week to fall to 0-21 for the summer.

West Hancock scored one run in the first inning of a game vs. Forest City on Friday but could muster no more as it fell 13-1 in four innings.

The Eagles hosted Garner-Hayfield-Ventura and West Bend-Mallard for a pair of games on Thursday. West Hancock fell 17-2 in three innings to GHV and lost 13-2 in five innings to West Bend-Mallard.

Against GHV, Katlyn Ohrt had a two-run home run, Ryann Hagen doubled and Riley Hiscocks and Natalie Lemmon each added a single.

Hiscocks and Madison Eisenman combined to give up nine hits while striking out three and walking nine.

Sydney Hudspeth had two hits, stole two bases and scored a run vs. West Bend-Mallard, Sydney Zamago singled and drove in a run, and Sydney Burgardt, Carlee Bruns, Eisenman and Hiscocks each had one hit.

Bruns struck out four and walked eight in five innings.

West Hancock was close to its first win last Wednesday but watched as North Iowa scored eight runs over the final two innings to take a 14-9 victory.

Zamago had three hits and two RBIs, Lemmon had a single and two RBIs, Hudspeth and Bruns each finished with two hits and one RBI, and Eisenman, Hiscocks and Ohrt drove in one run apiece.

West Hancock was held to three hits in a 16-0 lose vs. North Union Monday, June 19.

Zamago, Eisenman and Bruns each singled for the Eagles.
