A tough season got even tougher over the past week as West Hancock was handed four more losses.

On Friday, the Eagles were held to two hits in a 13-0 loss at Top of Iowa Conference West Division rival Forest City.

The Eagles managed just one hit in a 13-0 loss in five innings Thursday against West Bend-Mallard.

Last Wednesday, North Iowa put up eight runs over the first three innings and West Hancock was unable to recover in an 8-3 defeat.

Dylan Eckels and Glen Smith had two hits apiece to lead the Eagles at the plate while Nick Hunt and Bennett Bruns each singled and drove in a run. Eisenman added a hit and score a run.

Ben Eisenman was handed the loss after allowing eight runs in three innings while striking out two and walking one. Chase Eisenman pitched well in relief as he struck out one and walked one and didn’t allow a hit in 3 1/3 innings.

On Monday, June 19, the West Hancock pitching trio of Ben Eisenman, Jordan Weiland and Chase Eisenman gave the Eagles a shot vs. North Union, but the Eagle ultimately fell 6-2.

The group collectively allowed six North Union hits and struck out four batters.

At the plate, Bruns collected two singles, and Eckels and Chase Eisenman each had a hit and scored a run.
