Gavin Becker's career night was not enough to push the West Hancock boys basketball team over the edge Friday night as the Eagles were overwhelmed defensively in a 95-71 loss vs. Bishop Garrigan.
Becker poured in a career-high 35 points to lead the Eagles on 12-of-24 shooting and he was 5 of 7 from beyond the 3-point line.
MaCoy Yeakel and Chase Eisenman added nine points apiece, and Brayden Leerar and Tristan hunt each scored seven off the bench. Hunt added nine rebounds while Eisenman and Lucas Weiland handed out five assists apiece.
On Tuesday, Jan. 2, West Hancock worked its way to an 83-59 victory over Belmond-Klemme.
Yeakel was the Eagles' top scorer on this night with 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting.
Becker and Weiland tossed in 17 points apiece, Eisenman had 11 and Joe Smith scored six.
Weiland had 11 rebounds, six assists and five steal to go along with his solid scoring night, and Smith had nine rebounds and five assists.
